Country Garden in the Serranía de Ronda

Genalguacil, Málaga

A Garden for Every Place

This garden brings together elements and influences from the gravel garden movement, naturalistic planting design, and even subtle touches of the English cottage garden, all interpreted through a distinctly Mediterranean character..

Set within an organic, flowing layout, the planting palette includes, among other species, two varieties of rockrose (Cistus × florentinus and Cistus skanbergii); structural shrubs such as Pistacia lentiscus and Phillyrea × media; Tagetes lemmonii; Crataegus monogyna, Digitalis lutea, Rosa canina, Phlomis purpurea, Teucrium hyrcanicum, and Salvia rosmarinus ‘Boule’. Each species was carefully selected to create a balanced composition of textures, forms, and subtle seasonal nuances.
